Ger District Foundation
INFORMATION ABOUT NGO
Suburban Ger District Development Foundation NGO established in 1999. The principal task of its activity is to provide the families living in suburban area with assistance aiming at improving of their self-sustenance by means of promotion of their general intelligence awareness and basic skills, by offering new employment options and finally at alleviation of poverty.
Thus the foundation shall contribute to the cause of bringing up a new potential generation of active manpower from the sources of the most vulnerable group of population who shall become a constructive market force in the new human oriented democratic society at the end.With assistance of ACTION Centre La Faim, a French institution we have organized a free meal service for school drop-outs and standard education schooling. Therefore poor families had been given necessary work tools to develop their own greenhouse and plantation farming and this autumn the first ever yield is to be collected.
The Foundation had succeeded to develop cooperation with a number of international organisations. It has a good staff team consisting of four experienced instructors and three skilled workers. The Steering Board of the NGO consists of 5 members.
Educational Arena Foundation and our Suburban Ger District Development Foundation are partnering to support those residents of the suburban UlaanBaatar area in their overcoming poverty problems through creating working places, delivery of information and services training for them. www.educationalarena.info,
